Jammy Milners Level

Jammy Milners Level is apart of the large expanse of mines within Beldi hill. this system of mines are largely connected to the main crackpot hall level. Jammy Milners is locuted under a wall in blind gill. the level was origionally dug in 1771 but remained unworked until 1808! between 1808 and 1830 th e mine was operated by Hopper Monkhouse & Co.

This company was followed by Henry Alderson Monkhouse & Co between 1838 and 1849. All of the beldi hill mines including JM produced low output beyond 1865. The Beldi Hill smelt mill was finally closed in 1879, along with the mining company.

All but a small handful of these mines are accessible today, the rest have all fallen in. JM level had at one point been blocked, several unsuccessful digs have opened up about 1km of workings. almost all of which are either highly unstable, flooded or both!
